'Diggers 2: Extractors' is a puzzle game developed by Millennium Interactive Ltd and published by Psygnosis Limited. It was released in 1995 for DOS game console. The game, which has a similar gameplay to the 'Lemming' game, is very entertaining, funny and challenging game to play.
The game has come back with an improvement from its original version, 'Diggers'. More levels are added as well as tools and mazes to conquer. The story begins when a creature known as Extractor has populated the world of Zarg. The Extractors have three sub-species, and all of them have its useful capabilities.
The first can dig better than the other Extractors, while the second one is amazingly strong and the third one can teleport without having any damage.
The objective of the Extractors is to unite the twenty-five Worlds of Zarg. The Extractors must destroy the shield which protects each world so they can float to the surface of Zarg to be united.
There are a number of tools that a player can purchase to help the Extractors finish their task of collecting the mineral deposits. Those tools include explosive bombs, teleport poles and flying platforms that are useful for digging easy and fast. The money from the gems can also be used in purchasing fuel, which will be essential to transfer the Extractors to the next world. In order to move to the next level, the Extractors must determine the necessary tool to use and locate the resources immediately before time runs out.
