Football Manager 2006 is a Football Manager's game series of football management game simulation . The game's Xbox 360 platform was developed by Sports Interactive and published by SEGA. It was released internationally on 13 April 2006. The game can be played in either a single-player or multi- player mode.
The Xbox 360 platform of Football Manager 2006 allows the player to take his favourite football team online using Xbox Live and compete in tournaments while playing with 16 other players. The player can also gauge his progress as a manager using the Xbox 360's Gamepoints system which gives points or awards for everything the player (manager) does, such signing of the first player and closing the tournament unbeaten.
Having a vast database of players and tournaments to compete in, the player feels the extraordinary pressure of a real football manager. The player experiences the rising in the ranks, reaching the peak of the Premiership and winning the biggest title of the game in continental Europe.
Football Manager 2006 is essentially an upgrading of Football Manager 2005 with some small changes and improvements to the basic gameplay. The changes include simplified training, team talks and in-game help screens. The game was also updated by unpaid football fans to augment the game's quality.
Football Manager 2006 also contains the same playable tournament as Football Manager 2005, but with two small additions. The French tournament now has a fourth viewable but unplayable level and the Swedish league's structural changes involve the reinstatement of Division One and retaining the Division Two as the playable fourth level.
