'Midnight Club 2' is a racing game developed by Rockstar San Diego and published by Rockstar Games. Released on April 8, 2003, the game is a sequel to 'Midnight Club: Street Racing'. It can be played on single player and multiplayer mode on platforms such as PlayStation 2, Xbox and Microsoft Windows. 'Midnight Club 2' is similar to 'Tokyo Xtreme Racer Zero' and 'Midtown Madness 3.'
Players assume the role of a street racer, who races through three cities including Paris, Tokyo and Los Angeles, each of which features back-alleys, tunnels, overpasses and various intricate shortcuts.
The cities are also filled with animated traffic signs and pedestrians who are needed to serve as moving obstacles with the purpose of interfering with the player's path. The main mode that is featured in the game is the Career mode, which allows the player to race through the cities and competes against different drivers. In addition, Arcade mode is also featured, which includes the Cruise mode, Battle, Circuit, and Race Editor. Circuit mode allows the player to race in any tracks opened in Career mode. The Battle mode enables player to race against other players. Race Editor lets the player save and create courses online. Online mode is also featured, in which players around the country can compete on either a custom-made track or the races available in the game.
The game has good graphics presented on the realistic-looking race cars and lighting effects that bring each of the featured cities to life. Additionally, it offers fun and adventure, and can be considered as one of those racing game players will enjoy.
