Night Bomber

Night Bomber

'Night Bomber' is an action-strategy game that was developed and published by Apogee Software Productions for the DOS game platform. The game was released on 10 December 1988. It is viewed in a third-person perspective.

The game puts you in the role of a night bomber, and your mission is to destroy the enemy cities. In order for you to fire a bomb at them, you must enter the angles in the upper left side of your screen and then press Enter on your keyboard. Remember that you can only enter angles ranging between 1 and 45 degrees. From time to time, a UFO will fly overhead, attempting to destroy either your base or the city to which you belong.

Unfortunately, you can't shoot them. By looking at the upper right side of your screen, you can determine how much ammo (missiles) is left that is essential for bombing the enemy cities. There are only 12 missiles available for each level. You can gain points according to the number of enemy cities you destroy (ie if you destroy five cities, you gain five points). The game is over if you are destroyed by the UFO or if you have fired all twelve of your missiles. If you fail to hit any enemy cities in the game, it results in you being given a dishonourable release rank. But hitting two or three enemy cities will cause your rank to upgrade to corporal. As you progress in the game, the enemy cities also increase in number, the UFO comes more often, and it's now hard for you to successfully hit a target, which is more challenging.

All in all, the game is simple, with simple sounds, graphics, and gameplay. It will take you only an hour to play this game, and it's not really addictive.
