'Record of Lodoss War' is an action role playing game. This was developed by Kadokawa Shoten and published by Conspiracy Entertainment. The game was released 26 February 2000 for the Dreamcast Platform.
In this game, the player will assume the character of a long dead resurrected warrior. Your main objective is to battle against the grave threat of resurrecting the goddess of destruction. As you go along in the game, you will encounter varied dungeons with numerous enemies. They will come after you sometimes in a group of 30, hacking away, shooting arrows or casting spells.
For you to face these deadly challenges, you will have six back up buddies, a wide array of weapons, shields, boots, magic spells, and healing potions. As you move forward in the battle, you will get mithrils- the bluish crystal like stuff that appears after you kill enemies. With enough of this mithril, you can have ancient inscriptions placed in your weapons. These inscriptions will allow you to transform and customise your weapons, which in return will give your weapons enhanced attack abilities. Here is a hint to help you advance faster in the game. In passing through the Cold Cave, kill the Giagantees and then revive him using your magic spell "wonder dead". He will then help you travel through the cave, and you can use him as a shield against Medusa's magic spells.
ESRB recommends this game for gamers 17 and up. This can be enjoyed by those who enjoy role-playing combat games.
