'Retrograde' is an action computer game that was developed by Apex Computer Productions and Transmission Software. It was published by Thalamus Ltd. for in the United States and in Europe on 1989the Commodore 64 platform.

In the game, you will control a human being from the planet called Choom which is located at solar system of Thwok. Choom is under the threat of a group of seven violent dictators. The planet is also in the middle of an intergalactic war. Your goal is to fight and defeat all of the dictators to free your planet from their threat.

At the start, you have to fly through the atmosphere and land on the planet's surface.
As your enemies fly around you, you must shoot them before they destroy you.

Along the way, you will get planet busters that will let you access the bunkers that contain nerve centres. However, you cannot use the busters until you have charged them at one of the several shops in the game.

You will earn points each time you shoot an enemy. You can defeat them by using 12 powerful and upgradeable weapons. You can also sell your weapons to get money to improving your other weapons.

If you get into the bunker successfully, you must survive without using your weapons. You will have to find your way to the nerve centres. To win the game, you have to defeat a boss before the given time expires.
