Swag

Swag

'Swag' offers a two-player arcade-style videogame which was originally issued on cassette, as created by Dave Herbert. The game was exclusively designed for the videogame console platform of Acorn Electron. 'Swag' was released in 1984 by Micro Power. The game was included in the compilation release of the 'Five Computer Hits' by Beau Jolly in 1986, followed by the 'Pres Games Disc 2' compilation by Pres in 1987. Micro Power also released its own compilation of games, named 'Micro Power Magic' that included the game and was released in 1988.

'Swag' offers a kind of dexterity game that is centred on the simulated Hazard County.
The objective of the game is to beat another opponent by collecting gold and jewels in a two-player match. The game also provides a band of robbers that can aid each player in his quest. Aside from the challenge of each player to one another in gathering the precious stones, killer droids are also provided in the game as another obstacle. The killer droids come in two types, namely, the Percys and the Henrys. Percys are meant to catch the first player, whilst the Henrys are set on catching the opponent. The droids are employed by insurance companies to apprehend and recover the valuable items that were collected by both players. A player can avoid the droids by shooting them, whereupon the droids will be converted and will catch the other opponent instead. A player can also shoot the opponent, moving him back to the house with no swag.

'Swag' surely offers an addictive and enticing kind of gameplay. 'Swag' can also be played in a single-player option, but with the option of playing the game just in the practise mode.
